ABOUT US
KADASH Breast Cancer Awareness Program is committed to
increasing local and national attention to the devastating
impact breast cancer has in the African American and Hispanic
communities.
PROGRAMS
During the month of October, KADASH Breast Cancer Awareness
Program collaborates with organizations and community groups to
coordinate the promotion of breast health awareness in the
African American and Hispanic communities through the Gift of
Love Walk. This unique and innovative program allows breast
cancer survivors to partner with volunteers and canvas
door-to-door in the African American and Hispanic communities to
distribute breast health education brochures, a resource list,
and collect data. The communities have an opportunity to meet
survivors, hear their stories, and experience their triumphs
over breast cancer.
THE
MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE - THINK PINK AWARENESS INITIATIVE
The message in a bottle is a national faith-based educational
outreach program that reaches women in church with information
on how to access breast care services and resources. The focus
of this outreach is to increase the number of women obtaining
mammograms and increase their general knowledge on how to do
self breast exams. We give testimonies as survivor role models
to encourage and inspire and provide hope through the Word of
God on healing and wholeness.
